Roger Hankins was the project manager when my wife, Chris, and I needed to replace the shingles on our home in Okemos last year. We talked to several roofing companies (most of them identified at the Lansing homebuilders show in early 2005) and invited them to our house to look at the roof and prepare bids for us. After extensive discussions with these various roofers and after analyzing their bids, we chose Roger to manage our project and we have never regretted our decision for a minute. Roger was knowledgeable and resourceful in helping us examine the range of choices we faced on shingle styles and roofing procedures. Once we made our choices, with his assistance, and chose a starting date last August (2005), his roofing crew proved quick and efficient, and they did an excellent job on the installation itself; we've had zero problems in the six months since then (we're writing this in March 2006). During the roofing process, we also discovered that part of our garage's roof was rotten (due to bad rainwater management stemming from to the original design of our house's gutter system) and Roger's crew also did an excellent job in ripping out the rotten wood, rebuilding that section of the garage, and installing an improved gutter system. After the project was completed, his crew did an excellent job cleaning up the substantial amount of debris that is inevitably produced by these kinds of projects. Now that our shingles have been replaced, whenever our vinyl siding needs replacement (we think we can get at least a few more years out of it), Roger will be the first person and perhaps the only person we will contact. He does first-rate work and we recommend him highly.
